Horse Racing club receives donation from FNB

The Professor Supporters Horse Racing Club has received a 600 000 Namibia Dollars sponsorship from FNB for a three-year period towards horse racing events.
The sponsorship was announced at a press conference held at the Soccer House's Technical Center in Katutura on Wednesday.
In 2015, the Professor Supporters Club started from humble beginnings. Riders and supporters put funds together to allow the sports to develop. Now, FNB has come to their rescue.
FNB's head of Public Sector Banking Leslie Puriza said FNB takes pride in sponsoring the sport
“For us the sponsorship remains an important area to provide unique content and opportunities which is an excellent way to associate our brand with audience interests” Puriza said.
Eighteen races are scheduled to take place in the near future, with prize money awarded to each race and category respectively.
NBC sport also spoke to the Professor Supporters Clubs member Timo Mujeu who thanked FNB for their sponsorship as this will go a long way to make this event a success for the next 3years.
“As a club, it's a big achievement, because we have shown the business community that we are reliable. We can market the event successfully so that we can win trust to our side as well” Mujeu said.
The Professor Supporters Club in association with the Okahatjipara Turf Club will host the FNB July Handicap on the 27th of July at Okondjatu.
